Alan Sutherland on Q+A

Water Industry Commission for Scotland CEO Alan Sutherland and Q+A's Jack Tame talked about Scotland's experience of water reform.

20 June 2022

Water Industry Commission for Scotland CEO Alan Sutherland recently spoke to Q+A's Jack Tame about Scotland’s experience of water reform, and how this has improved services over the last 20 years.

Research by the Water Industry Commission for Scotland found that $120-$180 billion in investment is needed to maintain and improve Aotearoa New Zealand’s water infrastructure.

Sutherland said that $120 billion simply reflects the need for investment already established by councils, while $185 billion is required to make a significant difference in the service delivery of our drinking water, wastewater and stormwater.
